It has been such a strange time recently, I hope you and yours are keeping safe.
Thank goodness for the NHS and crafts.
I am sure I am not alone in finding solace in fibre and fabric.
A friend asked about instructions for a felt flower so here it is.
There are many ways of making felt and many different flowers, I hope you enjoy this.
You just need very simple equipment and some quick felting fibre (eg merino).
Equipment
- bubble wrap (or a bamboo mat),
- a piece of netting,
- a rolling pin or piece of insulation pipe
- soap.
- A spray bottle, – a carefully washed cleaning spray bottle work well, or a water bottle with small holes punched in the lid.
For embellishment – beads, ribbons, brooch back, sewing thread.
If you don’t have any fibre, some of the on-line retailers are still posting out orders. These are local ones I know and use regularly, there are many others.
